This year for the first time ever, there will be a Big Lunch in Hersham, it will be on Vauxmead (Faulkners Rd) at 12.15 on the 1^st June. The Big Lunch is a nationally promoted annual event for communities to come together across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours and promote friendship and fun.

It will take the form of a simple ‘do-it-yourself’ community picnic with some music and optional games for all ages to join in with or just spectate. The organisers suggest that people should bring a rug, sandwiches, drinks, games, – and any musical instruments they can play. Don’t forget your friends and neighbours – bring them along too – all are welcome. Please no barbecues.
