Report on the Hersham Big Lunch 2015

The Big Lunch is a nationally promoted annual event for communities to come together across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours and promote friendship and fun.

In Hersham on the 7th June it took the format of a simple ‘do-it-yourself’community picnic with some music and optional games for all ages to join in with or just spectate. There was a repeat of the Surrey paper plane championships, and there was a punch and Judy too for the younger ones.

We will probably do the same again next year – [the Big Lunch is always on the 1st Sunday of June – why not note that in your diary now!]
