The HRA has written to Elmbridge suggesting that the densities for accommodation at Hersham Green in the draft Local Plan are unreasonable and were not subject to proper consultation, and therefore should be urgently reviewed. The letter which can be accessed here http://www.hershamresidents.info/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Hersham-Green-HRA-letter-to-EBC-14-01-23.docx sets out reasons why we strongly feel that this must be addressed.
Last week the HRA officially presented a cheque for £1,400.70p to the Hersham and Walton Foodbank. The money was raised from a Christmas raffle for a food hamper donated by Waitrose. The HRA has received a reply from the developers acknowledging our submission and concerns – and saying that they will be pleased to engage with the community and our association in the new year. The HRA will keep our members updated as and when there is any further news.
